Hello and welcome to Arzel Zoning, where today we want to show you how to install the rectangular EzySlide damper. These are available in all your standard duct sizes, from 8 x 8 to 12 x 24. If you have an odd-sized duct, or something larger or smaller than that, we can build these to suit, and they typically ship within 1 business day.

When it comes to installation, the hole you cut in your ductwork will match the inside dimensions of the gasket. You’ll measure it out with a tape measure, mark the duct, and cut your opening. Once the hole is cut, the damper slides up through the opening. You then twist it and pull it slightly downward to make sure the gasket seats properly and doesn’t get pinched between the damper plate and the duct.

After that, fasten it in place using 1-inch screws around the outer edge.

If you ever need to remove the damper, you can attach a short piece of tubing to the air line and pressurize it. That will release the damper so it can be pulled back out easily.
