We talked to CEO Tom Olecki about why his company consistently installs Arzel Zoning to fix comfort issues. Here are his top reasons Arzel is a great solution for his customers.
The biggest challenge is keeping homes comfortable, especially two-story and multi-story homes. We often get the same complaint: bedrooms are too hot, the basement is freezing, and only the area near the thermostat feels comfortable. A zoning system is positioned as a solution to that problem. In practice, it is presented as something that should resolve comfort issues throughout the home. During sales conversations, it is common to reference a satisfaction guarantee, where if the system does not resolve the expected comfort issues, it can be removed and refunded. This is used to reduce customer hesitation and provide peace of mind. A key selling point emphasized is that comfort improvements are immediate. The expectation is that the home should feel more comfortable the same day the system is installed, rather than requiring a long adjustment period. The warranty is also described as lifetime coverage, which further reinforces the perception of low risk for the customer. An analogy is often used to explain zoning: a home typically has one thermostat controlling the entire house, but many individual light switches. The argument is that comfort control should be similarly individualized rather than centralized. The idea is that once zoning is experienced, it becomes difficult to imagine living with a single thermostat controlling the entire home.
