The Pro Panel is a universal zone control that can control up to 16 zones, with app-guided setup and diagnostics, fully configurable staging control, advanced features for heat pumps, and seamless A2L leak mitigation integration.
Hi, I’m Ken Barton. I’m VP of Technical Sales here at Arzel Zoning.
My name is Nick with Arzel Zoning. I’m an engineer who works on the Pro Panel.
Marvin Frazier here. I’m a tech support specialist here at Arzel.
The Pro Panel has been designed with ease of use in mind, especially for the contractor.
I believe what will make contractors lives easier using the Pro Panel is its cutting-edge adaptability to any application that you have.
The Pro Panel pairs with the Arzel Pro app. You download the Arzel Pro app. When you go to set up the Pro Panel, you can connect to the Pro Panel via Bluetooth. It’ll appear there on the app, and you can see all the system information right away on the app.
We’ve given the contractor one-tap configuration, where they can simply go, connect to the panel. And we’ve given them over a dozen equipment type combinations. They pick the one that best matches what they have on site, and they can simply hit that one-tap configuration and know that the panel is programmed, ready to go.
We’ve got a separate designated contact for wiring to an RDS board, an A2L leak detection system. So when that system detects a leak, it can send a signal right to the Pro Panel and guarantee that all the dampers are opened, and the fan runs.
Now you have the ability to control staging with the timers. With the HeatPumPro, all the staging timers were baked into the panel. You couldn’t adjust them. We start staging after three minutes, and we found that contractors had issue with that. They were always requesting if they could change those timers. Now you can.
The app has a lot of great features that are going to make installation and service much easier with this system.
Super easy to download. The contractor doesn’t need to create any account to connect to or to log in to. We don’t try to gather their information. Again, just another feature that we tried to make as easy and seamless as possible for our contractors.
The panel captures logs: how the equipment is operating, when calls are being made, what the panel is outputting for when those calls are made, timers. The Pro Panel now captures all that, and it can be downloaded into a log, an emailable log.
You can daisy-chain multiple Pro Panels together. So you can connect up to four 4-zone Pro Panels together to make one 16-zone system.
The Pro Panel has been designed specifically to incorporate a series of new settings and features to get the most out of your inverter technology. Inverters tend to operate a little bit different than conventional heat pump systems. And we recognized that and heard feedback from our contractors. So we really, tried to make some new features to allow our panel to work very, very nicely with those inverter systems.
The Pro Panel works with just about any piece of equipment out there. The only thing we are not really compatible with is communicating equipment. But as long as the equipment is controlled with your legacy connections, your R, your W, your Y, your G, we are compatible.
The Pro Panel takes everything that contractors liked about our HeatPumPro Panel, which included the ability to operate any equipment type with just a single stage heat/cool thermostat, whether it be multi-stage, dual-fuel, 4 heat 2 cool, all-electric systems. A single-stage conventional stat on one of our panels can control any of those equipment types. But we also retained zone weighting, the ability to stage equipment based on how much available ductwork is open.
And that incorporates also, taken from the HeatPumPro, the separate Y1 Y2 outputs. The Pro Panel, much like our HeatPumPro, has a separate Y1 Y2 output dedicated to your condenser for staging your heat pump or air conditioning capacity, and a separate Y1 Y2 for your blower staging in your furnace or air handler, controlling static pressure. This ability quite often eliminates the need for any bypass because we can simply tell the panel how large or small a zone might be. You can add multiple zones up together so that the equipment only stages if combinations of 2 or 3 or more zones are calling simultaneously.
But any way you look at it, we kept the features contractors really liked about the HeatPumPro. We kept them. We don’t like to get rid of things contractors really love. And we expanded on them, giving them even greater control.
This is another air-driven zoning system. It’s compatible with the full line of Arzel dampers. And it really is taking everything that was good about our previous zone controls: the reliability of the dampers, all of these different, unique damper styles that we designed for different applications, and brought them forward.
