So what would you say makes our ease of installation? I’ve been installing Arzel products since 2005. That’s when I started out in the industry as a new construction labor. And one of the things that really sets Arzel apart is how fast it is to put in. All we get is a template. Put that on the duct, cut the triangle out and start to finish getting that damper installed.

Really, it would only take me about two minutes. And what about running tubing as opposed to a 24 volt wire? When it came to running the tubing, usually I’d go through and I’d get everything cut in, and then I could have my helper follow behind me and just cut the tubing an he wouldn’t need any specialty tools, just his utility knife for his pair of snips.

The tubing is a rubberized tubing, but you’re just going to cut it, put the T in place, and anybody can do that, no matter how experienced they are. Obviously, the dampers are really easy to install. What about the panel itself? When it came to installing the panel and installing the system as a whole, typically my helper would get the panel mounted on the wall and then I’d start cutting in the dampers.

By the time he had the panel mounted, I had enough dampers cut in. He’d start running the control tubing, and then I would get the thermostats mounted and wired up the whole process myself and a helper. Arzel zoning job, about 15 dampers, three zones, three thermostats would take us to an eight hour day.
